LECHUZA plant systems

The product line LECHUZA, from geobra Brandstätter GmbH & Co. KG, based in Zirndorf, Germany, has been on the market since 2000. LECHUZA inspires both professional interior landscapers and end consumers with cleverly designed solutions for planters and accessories.

The idea for the product was the result of a concept by the company's owner Horst Brandstätter. He was looking for stylish planters to use indoors and outdoors, with long-term irrigation for his private use. He was unable to find any planters like this on the market, so he assigned his team of developers to find an appropriate solution: LECHUZA was born.

The new department of the Brandstätter Group is growing continuously since then. In 2006 LECHUZA exported already to more than 50 countries worldwide. To meet the increasing demand the production facilities in Dietenhofen, Germany, are continuously extended and adapted to the requirements.

The Brandstätter Group is a well-known specialist for plastic injection moulding for more than three decades by its brand PLAYMOBIL. It is - especially with kids - popular for its sophisticated products. LECHUZA, the new brand of this successful group, is on expansion course. LECHUZA was able to position itself as a premium brand for planters and accessories in a highly competitive market. The growing end consumer business and accompanying POS activities are strengthening the brand profile and with it the specific demand for the innovative planters with sub-irrigation.
